it was long.. read the first sentence, scanned to the bottom saw "public hanging".. figured id skip it..
but now that i read the other input.. i will hold to my first idea, on the thread i believe this is referencing.. it sucks for any doc to cut off themselves and meds, without a tdoc. it should be malpractice.. could you imagine a doc taking away a diabetics insulin because patient refused to see a dietitian. ive ran into my fair share of shitty pdocs and tdocs and tdocs are worse.. if its not their passion to help people, they suck at it..
every time i meet a new one i think, oh boy.. here we go. only one i had was worth my breath to even tell my story. the strangers we have to get in front of and lay down our lives and innermost secrets to, to get to the "core" of the issue, when they could honestly be the village idiot with a degree.. anyone know how easy it is to get a psych degree? why would a person ever feel good about that. i dont. lol i dont care how much insurance i have, i reserve the right to not go unless i am ready and want to, and my doc should help me best they can.
i dont think anyone should be fired for not seeing a pdoc.. unless a doc says they non med compliant, or nothing under the sun helps, should a doc say.. see ya... then and only then should anyone be forced to see a therapist..
that being said. there are great ones. my daughters therapist is out of this world. my therapist is pretty bad ass too. was a long hard road to find her. she inspired me to love me. thats good stuff.
i do have a fun story about a bad doc who said see ya.. the one that said that nothing on the cheap list could help me.. proceeded to give me geodon, i had bad akathesia, i went back and told him, he said i was unmedicatable. i went a good year without meds and landed in a hospital.. i now take lithium, very successfully.. ironic.
