Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
If it were "just" the ambien, you should be able to re-learn a pattern of relaxing and start going to sleep naturally after a few nights.
But alas, we are also bipolar, which interferes with sleep; and yes, hormones can do it, too.
I have to be careful not to take a nap during the day myself, if I have been at home (as in, not working) and did things that made me tired; then I don't want to go to sleep at night, either. :/ And a pattern gets started.
Do your best, doorknob. I hope you can get Some rest until you can talk with your doctor about it, though.
...darn! This was not a "helpful" comment - just me, babbling away! Hmmm. Maybe I can write you a nice lullaby during the day today.
*hugs*, anyway. :)
my sleeping pattern is also all of, I sleep from 2/3 in the morning till 11 every day it is now in a pattern but it is off kilter
Rest assured I will not being taking a nap during the day today as I hope eventually if I do not sleep over a long enough period of time and I'm lucky enough my body will finally give out during the night instead of during the day.
And I'm not sure this is effected by the bi polar as this is an ongoing problem that has not gone away for years it never stops. One that I am fight to change yet have not been successful at it
Also at this point I may not be depent on the ambien after all when I think of how these hormones interfere with how all my meds are working.
Please be careful, take it easy and try to stay up till bedtime, then take your ambien. Naps are the devil.
*hugs*
