I'm sitting here crying with my cat on my lap. This medication change is causing such mental anguish. I don't know what to do. I try breathing exercises and other tricks. The misery just returns.
I know med changes take awhile and they are difficult. Cannabis is legal here in Oregon so I 've been doing cannabis gummies mostly for sleep. I still feel like garbage. I just don't understand why it has to be this way.

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

Think How To Create New Memories in 2024 for you and Eric...make a goal to achieve something or learn something new<3....medications only do some of the work...WE have to work to shift ourselves....if you can walk...get out and walk for just 30 minutes a day, it increases serotonin and you never know who you will meet...I live alone and feel very isolated, so when I walk I wave to people, it makes me feel connected, the other day I saw a tiny rabbit running across a lawn.
I wish I could take medications to make me feel better,, but that is not possible. I do understand the challenges of your tears...I had and still do sometimes have what I call breathing tears...they just come and go as I breathe....I look at those tears as Washing Away Unknown Pain To Clear My Eyes So I Can See Better.
Med changes, despite being challenging take time, if you've been on this new med for over a month...usually takes 4 to 6 weeks for new medications to kick in, maybe a call to your dr. I wonder if you have ever tried lamictal, a mood stabilizer...I was on it for years and had few side effects. I still got depressed, but the depressions didn't stay so long and were not so deep.
Hugs to you my friend, and to Eric for a """New""" experiences in life 2024 <3
looks like many of us agree changing medication and waiting for the results is the absolute pits. Count me in on that too....It's ugly territory to have to go through no easy way to say it.
Waiting for the sun to shine in our heads and hearts is just plain awful. (((hugs)))
In the mean time don't give up on anything you can do to feel better in the moment... Fingers crossed Jenn that something you can notice happens soon.
Keep coming back and letting us know how it's going...
