So I tapered off the prednisone and the mania is still escalating.... I am on 2mgs a day of Klonopin and I doubled my anti psychotics and it is having no effect. I am starting to become hypersexual, having sex dreams, spending money.... I'm down to sleeping only 4 hours a night.... Part of me is really enjoying all of it but the little bit of me that is still rational knows what is coming if I can't stop it... I guess I should call the pdoc and see if she wants me to go up even higher on the anti psychotics, unless someone has any other ideas?

Happy start-of-the-week!!!! I have work in a couple hours. Rocket is being a stinker over here refusing to finish his breakfast which is most unusual. I will give him a few millk bones before I have to leave for work and some kibble in his bowl. What is something you are looking forward to? For me, I am look forward to seeing my therapist tomorrow and my prayer meeting is on tuesday

Hang in there and try not to listen to the manic side.
(((BIG HUG))) I know it sucks.....
But do you think maybe a sleep med might help, rather than a higher dose of an anti-psychotic?
Or wouldn't you want that anyway?
I don't think that way is 'better'.
I just know that's the angle my Pdoc comes from, when I'm hyper.
If I break that cycle of too little sleep, it seems to quell the other hyper/hypo symptoms as well.
Good luck!!!
You're already ahead of the game since you can see that it's happening!!!
Do everything you can to stop it, before any bad comes of it!!!!
