Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I still feel very depressed and tired. It feels almost like I'm catching a cold but I'm not. I'm experiencing a couple of other things. I had Bell's Palsy on the left side of my face a few years ago so when I don't feel good, it acts up. With that, I feel pressure in the left side of my head. Also on the last side of my body, I feel an ache like when I'm ovulating and this dull pain running down my leg.
I don't know if anyone has experienced this and don't know if it is connected to the depression.
I don't really have much of a support system other than DS. My dad calls me once awhile to see how my son and I are doing. The rest of my family doesn't get much. Many of them live far and wide. My friends have moved away. I keep with people on Facebook. It hard for me to make friends. I've tried church and meet ups but that didn't work out much.

Hey All...I hope that you have a lovely, peaceful beginning of your weekI have a bunch of chores that need doing but may put them off til tomorrow and just hang out with my landlord/roomie todayWhat about you?...Anything special going on?Have a great day and take good care of you!!..Xo

I don’t have experience with Bell’s palsy but recently I’m newly struggling with all kinds of physical pain, and it’s contributed to my overall moods. I’m still learning how to handle it, and I think it’s age related, and my physical job, and how I need to lose weight, etc etc etc.
I’m glad your dad calls to Check in on you and your son. I wish I had good advice on how to keep reaching out to find some like minded peers in mental health and parenting. I think maybe even if meet ups or church or support groups didn’t feel like they worked out sometimes it’s worth it to try it again someday, or try different ones when you’re ready, because there may be new folks out there also looking to connect to supports in their life.
Hope the depression lifts soon. Big (((hugs))))
I hope that you start to feel better soon.....xo
Depression certainly has a feeling of being physically unwell. However if this keeps up it might be worth your time to see your doc..
I think being social requires all of us to learn the art of conversation and it can be tough especially if you are the newbie. Don't stop trying!
Pain is a symptom of depression, too. Here is a list of some of the physical symptoms from WebMD:

Knowing that they were connected help me deal with the physical symptoms. You know, some of pain is the fear of not knowing what is wrong. Not to say you shouldn't follow up on any of the symptoms that point to other diseases, just know you aren't crazy. It's normal
The change of season's also packs it's own whammy. With the change in season's I notice a lack of energy as we approach fall....I have my toolbox for combating these symptoms I hope you have some tools in your toolbox for dealing with the onset of depression too!
When I'm struggling I find a quick review of cognitive distortions helpful: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_distortion
