I notice that my favorite songs always come across cynical or depressing, It's almost as if I am attracted to it. Maybe it has to do with relating to it? I seem to understand the sad songs over the "happy" ones. How about you guys? What is your favorite kind of song? What is your relation to them?

I like the ballad's as well and depending on my mood I can imagine the song is all about my life when in a dark place

The music I've been drawn to has changed over the years, just as I have changed as a person. There were years when I was into angry music, because I was an angry person, Right now I'm in a place where I don't listen to any music at all - and I never thought that would happen.

i really love the mad ones. in every genre. the `dead too young', on the edge of madness and addiction, the whole `27' club, and generally any singer that truly believes what he's singing about.
