Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I hope you find what you are looking for and that your friends will educate themselves. If they don't...it may be time to find different friends.
I am always happy to talk. If you ever need someone to vent, please feel free to email me.
I hope things get better.
I've been in a similar situation many times before.
Forget friends/colleagues, in my case my Physician told my wife that I was being over-medicated and that was cause of my tiredness! He claimed my illness was no big deal!
Fortunately, having gone through the grind for a decade, I've found a way to balance my energy with my personal and work activities.
Absolutely agree with you that post bipolar, I''M NOT THE SAME PERSON ANYMORE!
All the same, ACCEPTANCE is the biggest part of the healing process.
I can say that more often than not I make all attempts to enjoy my life to the fullest extent.
Remember Lincoln's famous quote:
'I cried coz I didnt have shoes until I saw a man without legs'
By seeng the 'half glass full', life has become easier for me.
Take care!
:)
I think it's best to keep doing what is best for you. Your well being is more important than theirs when it comes to this. or what they think. I hope you feel better soon.
