so I called my pdoc today...well let me back up a little. I had my meds changed about a week and a half ago because I was having pstd type flash backs. so I'm on the new built up doese and then I started to feel like a zombie. so them I called him up today to complain. so he calls me back and says he didn't want t do this, but go back to the old doses and start taking ativan on a schedule. I am very upset.

about four or five years ago, some county doctor cold turkeyed me off of xanax. it was the worst hell I'd even been through in my life. I would have killed myself if I hadn't gone blind temporarily and could move around more. all I could eat was popcorn for a week unless someone else fed me because I couldn't figure out how to use a fork.(mental confusion)...it was that bad.

I really do want to punch somthing, except I haven't the energy to do so.

I hope going back to the ativan and the old med doses won't have that kind of effect on you!

Depending on your history there may be some serious considerations that need to be closely looked at. I often notice symptoms that began to spiral when I am under stress. How that level? Meds can help symptoms that naturally respond to your body but if there are other stresses, conditions or concerns that make you feel overwhelmed at any rate, meds will fluctuate as well. I truly hope you and the dr take time to see what really is going on..get well soon.

I hear what your saying. after being yanked off a benzo once, i get panky about being put on it again for on a regular schedule like this.

and about the stress. I don't know if the new stress is real or imaginary. and I can't figure it out. I don't know what I am really accomplishing in therapy anymore. although recently we started on boundary placement in my life.

and I've since come to realize that somone whom I thought was a friend I am really just a nuisance to.
