My sleep schedule the past few nights has been shitty. I see a sense of mania coming on if I don't get my sleep schedule in check.....these are the meds that don't work or that I can't have. Tell me what ya'll take to help you sleep?

Ambien doesn't work

Trazadone doesn't work all it does is give he headaches.

And I can't have seroquel because I take Geodon.

Keep in mind that I also take Zoloft and I have Vistaril on hand
for emergencies.....

restoril knocks my ass OUT. i only take it in dire emergencies...

i take all of my meds at night along with 25mg of benedryl and 2mg of ativan. snoozeville

i have lupus and fibro so i take zanaflex as a sleep aid in addition to my nighttime meds and its lights out for me.. i also take zoloft so no problem there..

I wish I could try benadrl.....I take geodon and cvs pharmacy won't let me have it because it interacts with my meds.....Restoril...Thanks I will ask for some from my pdoc on monday.....the thing is I get so anxious at night it's the racing thoughts that keep my ass awake.....I don't even know what I am thinking about either.....it's my subconcious.....Thanks a whole lot.....I am gonna ask for some.....

i have never heard of the benedryl/geodon issue. my pharmacist knows i take it and never blinked an eye or told me of any contradictions.

I never heard of it until last month when I tried getting some for a sinus cold.....They said that some antihistamines interact with Geodon and they just wanted me to be safe so they wouldn't sell it to me.......

When I am up like that and my head is going and my body is fried, I take an Ativan or a Klonopin. Ask for them from your doctor. They have saved my life. good luck! Sleep tight.

I have been trying to get ativan for a couple years now and she won't give it to me because it's so addicting she says.....she doesn't want me addicted to the stuff. She perscribed me Vistaril instead......but even though it makes me drowsy I can't take that to help me sleep that's only for emergencies.......if I abuse it she will take it away from me.

Thanks though.

I am gonna ask my pdoc for some Restoril.

If you are having racing thoughts, maybe more geodon would help. I'd ask the pdoc. Have you tried Ambien CR? It's extended release.

Used to be prescribed rohypnol when I was in my Insomnia years...it's known as the Date Rape drug..& boy does it have a kick lol. Staggering I was ever given it, really.

I get horrendous headaches from Trazodone too.
My doc put me on Klonopin and it seems to do the trick. Except around my cycle two nights out of the month I don't sleep because of my whacky hormones.

If pdoc won't give me some restoril I will beg her for some klonopin......But I think she will really give me some restoril if
it doesn't interact with my meds.....

I always had sleep problems on Zoloft.....you might question that with your pdoc. It seems your sleep problems came about since you began taking it.

Try relaxation meditation, no computer or video games an hour before bed, warm shower, meolatonin, breathing exercises. It didnt work for me on Zoloft and a few others though.

    Happy Tuesday. I only have a few tasks today. I'm currently enjoying my coffee and checking social media and emails. It's gonna be almost 90 degrees today so I have to monitor the dogs outside activities  How's Tuesday looking for you?
