If I\'m my mid is racing, won\'t stop I try the chloropromazine, 50 mg, we have gone upto 100mg when having a manic episode. After a couple of weeks, if I\'m stable we get the dosage down to 25mg and if I\'m still sleeping down to 10mg. Which is nearly nothing, and then down to 0 as long as I\'m sleeping.
Sleeping is a learned habbit, you need to get back into the habit of sleeping. Always try to sleep at night, not during the day, even if you ar really tired, as this really stuffs up your sleeping cycle.
Make sure your sleeping is regular, ie if you are not sleeping you are resting your body. Body needs rest, even if your mind doesn\'t stop.
I sometimes try to bore my mind into sleeping, technical books, brick walls, counting sheep doesn\'t work particularly well( my mind tends to have them flying around, and jumping fences.
Sweet dreams. The most important thing is not to worry about it.
