Family and friends how well should they know you? The reason I am asking is I am wondering whether I should post or email or notify people of my Christmas wish list or hope they know me well enough?
It is hard to drop hints because my associates are stupid :P

Sending out a "I Want List " , might end up looking greedy.
I would take my chances and just take what's given to you.
If someone does ask what you like / want , then by all means give them clues...keep in mind their relationship to you and perhaps how much money you think they can afford to spend ...... meaning, it's not cool to ask an employee to get you that home theater , rather say "I Like Electronic gifts "
Like FB the stream will be advertisers people can find ideas for your wish list/profile. Then people can learn more about their friends and kids can share with parents even strangers for poor children to see without sounding greedy.
