Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I'm done.
Is it worth it to open yourself up to love when it's so painful for me? Trying to love someone, or even being attached to someone when you have Bipolar 2 and Borderline Personality Disorder is hard and it's heavy and it's painful.
I don't even know if it's worth it anymore, sometimes I feel like I'm not fit for any human relationships. I lead with my heart, I lead with love and emotion but it's always too much at one time for whoever I'm trying to love or for whoever I'm attached to. I know it's a lot, my mental illnesses are a lot for me too, but I want to love others so deeply and so badly that I feel that I must just love people for the rest of my life but never accept it for myself.
Should I give up on the very thing I want so badly to give me peace, or should I just throw up my hands and fight and fight and fight until I have nothing left to give? I have no idea what to do.

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

It was the realization that we each have to be self responsible
for our feelings and emotions...It helped me see how I needed to learn to survive on a real practical level. Everyone you come in contact with has to 'own it' within them and whether they do or not - or how the do it - also lets you see the priority and values they are holding onto.
I hope you can give yourself some self affirmation for coping with a very, very serious illness but also try and give yourself
a lens to interpret how people around you are indeed loving you.
At work or at home, with family or friends... try to interpret or see the little gestures people make and you then can learn to appreciate the love and caring that is coming your way..
It can come in big gestures too or small gestures - and the bigger gestures and smaller gestures often don't come in packages you expect! :) Once you start to see those things it's powerful! But when they come, maybe you can silently appreciate to yourself when you feel something in coming
and you can also know that too and then you can also show appreciation for it too!
Life is a struggle!
Keep faith! Keep on keeping on!
