so, for me, today is the start of lion's season - i'm so excited!! it's been an age since i've haunted the boards, but i thought today i'd come and check the lay of the land, journal, and share some hugs around!
it's been a good and difficult year so far. i've had both significant physical and mental health issues, but i'm doing so much better now. one reason i haven't been around - i have a tendency to isolate and i have been hardcore, but i am doing better and my personal goal for this coming lion's season and my new year is connection. my personal theme, i guess, reaching out and nurturing the bonds i've established with my cherished friends and family, and pushing my boundaries to bring new people and friendships into my life. it'll be a challenge, but one i'm looking forward to!
my plan for today is maybe a cake and some candles (though i pity the icing already - it may not hold up to the heat of all those tiny flames - i'm getting old!) read and write some letters, reply to my growing inbox and who knows maybe get out in the sunshine for a little bit.
