Or lack thereof. I guess I was a little hypomanic...or manic...or whatever. I was hypersexual for a little while, now I have zero libido. I haven't had any change in meds, only a change in mood.

Does anyone else have trouble with their libido not due to their meds?

I don't know how we'd know the difference, whether it's meds or not. Feels like I've been on these meds forever.

I used to have a massive drive... so much it got me into trouble but now while I want it I can bring myself to go thorugh with it a lot of the time. :(

Depression kills it totally and I doubt my meds help either.

I did before I even got on meds or did I? It has been years since I began on Effexor XR and I think it may have affected mine adversely. some of mine is hormonal due to Polycystic Ovary Disease. It's like a gas pedal now. Sometimes that bitch is to the floor and I can't get enough and sometimes there ain't even nobody pushing the pedal. lol.

Yes, but mine is based on manic stage. Now, if I'm depressed, the very thought of anything sexual makes me feel all guilty from feeling so strong when I'm manic.... a vicious circle... just like Zany was saying. HUGS

My libido was hybernating for a long time due to antidepressants and risperdal for a long time. Then I got a boyfriend and that just didn't fly. I now use ky jelly and take viagra and have no problems at all. Girls you can take viagra too. Its expensive and not covered by insurance but you can get it from Canada and it's a lot cheaper.

I have no libido what so ever unless I`m manic. Otherwise just the thought makes me feel disgusted.
I dont know if it`s my meds or not, although when I was younger I got myself into alot of trouble through my sexual appetite.

When I am manic I want nothing more than sex. I could live off of sex. But when I am depressed, I don't think of it as much. But if I am in a relationship, sex can actually make me manic. Does that make sense?

I stay mostly on the hypersexual level. But there will come the times where it takes a little work to get me started. But I rarely ever turn sex down

Me neither. Hell of it is that hubby seems as low sexed as me sometimes but then as horny as me sometimes. He waits on me to initiate for the most part unless it's been a LOOOONG time. Then he will just say honey we need to spend some quality time together. If I am not in the mood, I will do him because I love him and feel sorry for not waning to. Anybody do that?
