Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I have been feeling dysphoric for the past several days but today I am feeling very depressed. I could be going to group therapy right now for my eating disorder but I do not think I can drive. I am freaking out and can't keep focus or not cry. Not to mention that the last time I went, I felt so out of the loop and they were all teens or early 20s. I am 28 and in such a different place in my life. I felt they were so immature. I am not paying good money to sit in on that. So here I am sitting alone at home. I am crying and I really really want to self injure. I am so sick of feeling like this. I take my meds and for the most part they work but then I will have a time where I fall apart. I need a hobby or something to distract me from sitting alone. I am sorry if this is out of sorts to read. I am just writing what comes to mind. I need help and I always have such a hard time asking for it. I have crashed in a depression sense. I feel that I cannot feel any lower than I do right now.

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

Please know this will not last! I want you to think of something horrible, 5 years ago - you thought you couldn't handle - its a vague memory.
This pain, this hopelessness will leave - you will smile, the seasons changing is hard on most of us! But for me, a beautiful flower, a swim a friend, a delicious chocolate chess pie... LOL
There is hope, its just not right now - hang out with us, keep venting, know the crying will stop, maybe it will help you sleep well, the being so tired...
Wishing you peace and relief ASAP!!! Hold on...
Hang in there, keep talking to us.
HUGS

The feelings your having I know too well. I also take my meds and it still kicks my butt and I have to force myself to get up, smell the fresh air. Walk my dog. No it's not a cure but it stops the cycle even for a little bit. It is hard to be alone, I'm fighting the same battle but now I like being alone. It seems I have had to cut off a lot of relationships and it's very hard. My life has changed a lot, growing and learning how to cope with my feelings. Know that when you fall apart the bright days seem even brighter. Hugs.... Look for tomorrow.
Meds only do so much.. My pdoc says that meds take care of about 40 percent of symptoms but we have to do other things to help control BP
Having something to distract you is a great idea..
If you aren't happy with the therapy you're in I would ask for a referral to another group...xo
