Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I confess to being upset that neither of my sisters (the ones I'm close to) visited me or at least called during my hospital stay. Simply put, they are liars, because they've always told me they love me and that they've educated themselves about bipolar and understand it. We're talking now,but that's because I took the initiative and called them after I got home from the hospital.
I had a friend who was hospitalized once, and I visited him every night, even though we weren't related. I even brought him a bag of peppermint candy because he was a smoker and I knew he must be going crazy without his cigarettes.
Sometimes I just want to make them understand why I did what I did (signed myself into the hospital). If I hadn't signed myself in, I'm almost sure that Carla would've 302ed me.
OK,that's enough ranting. It would probably help if I had more friends to replace my relatives. I just can't relate to someone who isn't sensitive and caring, because I try to be like that. But I've shared enough here, over the years, about my ignorant family. I have no idea how I turned out the way I did (sensitive and caring, I mean).
Thanks so much for listening.

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

I understand what it's like to be in hospital and have nobody visit you. I spent my 25th birthday in the hospital and NOBODY came. It sucks, doesn't it?
Sending lots of love and big hugs to you, sweet Loddy. Hang in there!
