Hey everyone,
I was taken off Zyprexa last month, and it was replaced with Saphris.
I have gained 12 pounds! I don't know how to cope with this weight gain, which is added to what I had gained with Zyprexa. I'm only taking 5 mg with Saphris, and my doctor says that that dose is barely anything. Yet still I'm dealing with the serious side effects (including facial twitching). My mood has stabilized though, and my sleep is great and regular. So I'm very confused.
any thoughts/advice?

Tell your doctor that you want to take something that is weight neutral.
Right now, I'm on Gabapentin, Alprazolam, and Imipramine. Alprazolam never game me any problem before, but one or both of the other ones has me gaining weight again and when I see my Pdoc on the 18th, I'm going to ask for something different.
My Pdoc is always on board with me when I want to make a med change. I hope yours will be, too, and that you find some med that will work without any unwanted side effects!!! (((((Hugs)))))
