Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Can we share who we are.... We're we're from and how we're doing?... I'm stealing this idea from fish... Thanx Mark
I'm Jan and I live in Toronto... We're heading into Fall weather... It's really pleasant
I'm doing okay... I always struggle a bit in the Fall and this year with Covid and the mess in the world it's hard I think for everyone
I'm leaning on gratitude and have been rereading probably my favourite book called The Shack... It picks me up
Can you tell us a little about you?... Big squishy hugs....xo

Woke up feeling very emotional and about to clock in at my place of employment. And can't place it all in writing but not been a good experience with my store manager or his boss. Defamation of my character is a concern. I've been losing appetite and weight. Trying to perform at work to keep myself from hospitalization as a result of toxic masculinity.

I'm doing ok. Trying to learn about triggers. Waiting for my meds to fully kick in. Been having a lot of angry outbursts. I haven't figured out how to distract myself when having them. Trying to read up on things and hoping something will click.
I need a new hobby. I play guitar but I want to do more craft things too I just don't seem to have a lot of patience with myself. I need something to distract myself more sometimes.
I'm grateful for this site and this group.
A bit about me. I live in south-east Australia and love the outdoors and our bird life. Retired in February after an array of jobs including a laboratory assistant in biochemistry, pathology, various public service jobs and bookkeeping.
I am loving my art classes. It is great mindfulness with our very intense family life, which includes supporting two adult daughters with multiple mental health problems.
Enough about me. See some of you on other boards.
Crafts sound like a good plan.... Deep breaths when you're feeling inpatient.... Big hug....xo
