Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

My Bipolar Disorder is a result of family violence, but I didn't know until I was educated at Mujeres Unidas. Some of the stuff I encountered they called domestic abuse and strictly between spouses. No outside sources or influences. In knowing so, it's how I've been taught to survive and escalate matters to make sure that my case doesn't get dismissed in the court of records. I've also learned that the power of change is obviously from within. We all have the ability and capacity to mobilize change for our OWN higher good and own betterment. Oftentimes, when we perform a CEO move that actually helps another and the overall wellness of the organization or company, we all seem to see and feel the difference. I hope this message helps those in similar positions, whether you are the person who offers relief or the person who offers relief. As our own CEOs, we all understand that in life we carry our own load; we're all givers and takers and need to help each other for the higher good, responsibly, with good moral ethics, and an overall excellent performance.

My friend invited me out for lunch at this nice, clean sit-in place, where I got to order a salad of my choice with two chicken toppings out of a wall-mounted variety. I don't remember the name of the place. However, it was a nice experience. Thereafter, we headed down to one of my favorite dessert destinations, the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in McAllen. It had been a while since we just...

I've been on high dose prednisone for pneumonia, and now I am slowly weaning. But lots of symptoms I don't like having, plus overeating has put at least 10 lbs on me. The food is "loud" as the GLP-1 users refer to it.Also pressured speech. Which comes out in my posts. Sorry I posted so much. I just need an outlet for my agitated and irritable brain. Just scroll on by my posts, if they are too...
I tend to think if bipolar disorder as having physical roots. I’ve been stable and off meds for decades. My mother died at 93, in 2023, and I went hypomanic. I had to see a pdoc and get on meds. It was like a force outside if me. I could see every symptom, but I could not control or stop talking too fast, or getting enough sleep. But after a few months, the pdoc dismissed me, and I was back off meds. I was on lithium for part of that time, and it truly made me feel normal. But, it affected my kidneys, and I was forced off. Everything else felt like a straight jacket, worse than the hypomania.
I think a lot of women, and men who are abused get PTSD, it’s a very soul shaking thing to be hit and called names, to say nothing of other types of abuse. In other words, it is a trigger.
Stay safe, and keep working with this people. Good for you!
