I can't count how many times I've run that gambit. It bites big but. I am holding steadier now that I treat my spiritual maintenance as seriously as I treat my physical maintenance. I no longer believe I will ever find the meal so complete that it will cure me of hunger.

Welcome back! I too have taken a hiatus. a long one. I'm just glad I have the best ppl in the world standing by me, even when I think I can handle this madness on my own. They're ALWAYS here

I reacted started cutting again and I can't seem to find a reason to stop again. I lied to my friend so he would give me a knife and it worked, but now I can't seem to get rid of it

Glad you found your way back Bernie sorry for what brings you here. Get rid of the knife and stop playing games with your veins. There is no easy way out somebody has to be the parent and just take it away...I say this with the utmost compassion because I have the same issue. I used to work in a warehouse and all of my co-workers admired me because my knife was so sharp but no one knew why...I was under a lot of pressure running a shipping desk while my husband was hospitalized for a serious infection post surgery. I was working a 24 hour day and the blade was a source of solace...

Stop while you can and start talking to anyone who will listen...that includes us here at DS. I'm glad you found a place where you can put your cards on the table...

I have been away for a while as well but It is great to see you back upon my return. I have to agree with the others, get rid of the knife. You don't deserve to do that to yourself and I can relate because I have been a cutter for most of my life. Being able to stop isn't easy but you can do it!! Just don't give up. I am glad you came here to vent and hope you will continue. It's great to have this DS family no matter how much we go away and come back we can always depend on everyone.
