LOL, I have few writing skills, but as much as I enjoyed this page turner, I was aware the story and lessons were great, but the writer- not so much! LOL.

I'm thinking of re-reading The Stand by Stephen King, it was a favorite many moons ago, thinking I might enjoy it again : )

I just finished a science fiction anthology and am now reading Monstrous Regiment by Terry Pratchett. I'm always reading.

I've been reading Bipolar books mainly. The unquiet mind, Madness, Beyond the Brink just to name a few. Now I'm reading miracle on the Hudson about the plane crash.

I am rapid cycling at the moment. Sorry.

I love Margaet Atwood. I plan to finish all of her books by Sept.

I've read "Cat's Eye" "Orynx and Crake" "Handmaid's Tale" and "Wilderness Tips" short stories.

I am proud because I am not like my MENSA sibs and I don't read as much as they do.

I just got through reading "The fault in our stars." Great writing. Now I'm re-reading 'Traveling Mercies" by one of my favorite writers Anne Lamott.

just finished a bio on charlie `bird' parker.

sad. the crazy rawk stars got nothin' on that cat.

the shadow of the wind by carlos ruiz zafon.

a beautiful read. well written with language that will stop you in your tracks and make you reread sentences. a book to read slowly just for the lyricism of the words.

I'm reading -- with difficulty (I get ya Aloha) -- Panzram -- very interesting, but a bit morose.

My nook just died and I put it somewhere out of frustration and now I can't find it. Hope I didn't throw it away. Might be permanently dead anyway. So hard to go back to paper books.

Blessedgirl, I hope you find your Nook. My Kindle reader died a few months ago. It was the first or 2nd edition, about 7 yrs old. I called up Amazon and they had me send it in at their expense and sent me a newer model at a huge discount. When I received it, I found they had it all set up with all my books, id, everything so I could use it right away. Maybe Nook would do something similar for you? It's worth a try. Especially if its fairly new--then they should replace it.

I love Margaet Atwood too, especially The Handmaid's Tale, and Oryx & Cake.

inkspring, that is awesome! i've always felt I should have bought the kindle. for a time they even told me nook was going off the shelves and I was basically screwed as for transferring my books to a newer model. still looking for the darn thing. I'm not even manic right now, lol! And I keep a really clean/organized house...oh where could it be???
