Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I totally get what you are saying; when we are ill, we are vulnerable to negative thoughts. When we are in a negative place, we are going to think similarly, and hence things will spiral out of control, leading us to an even darker place. A place that I have been many times. The key is learning new skills to get us from spiralling to that darker place, even we are vulnerable.
You shed alot of light on the subject for me tommy, thank you!
SHIT HAPPENS

if you apply the principals of meditation and positive mantra and affirmations (also buddhist tradition.), you will find the thoughts if not totally controlled can be muted.
