My Pdoc gave me Topomax to replace my Abilify today he say's I have gained to much weight. My question is is it better to take this med in the morning or the evening? Has anyone had experience with this drug?

Hmmm...sounds odd that he would replace an antipsychotic with topomax. I have taken both abilify and topomax for years now and haven't had any problems with either one. One of the side effects that you may find a little odd at first is tingling in the extremities but that will go away after a while of being on it. I take mine in the morning. A lot of ppl call it "dopamax" because they say it makes you stupid but I haven't had that side effect yet from it and I take 200 mg and have been on it for 4 years now...but everyone is different.

i take topamax in the pm for me it makes me tired.but thats me.its not supposed to cause sleepiness but for me it does!!! it does cause awesome weight loss.i have lost over 60lbs this year no diet. it calms your appetite so you can control what you put in your mouth...priceless!!!!

I take topomax for migranes and abilify for my bipolar. Havent noticed any change being on topomaxx but do have less headaches.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
