Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I see my pdoc every three months for medication. She also listens to me and cares about me.
You should be at least seeing a Pdoc every 3 months .
I see my Pdoc once a month.
After 7 years with my Pdoc, I was finally stable , so my Pdoc works with me in therapy also
If you feel ok without seeing a Tdoc, just keep up your visits with your pdoc
PLUS - therapists can't prescribe meds. Only pdocs can. So why would you need a therapist??
I've been told to look forward not backwards.
which is what I do anyway.
Therapists wants to discharge me as fast as possible. Cannot help me.
Therapist discharges you pdoc discharges you back to normal doctor.
Repressed memories come back and there is no-one to talk too.
I don't have a solution for this one.

we do past and present issues and I don't think i would function as well with out it to be honest. Mainly because she sees the mood swings many times before I do. She also sees when I get a new medication if it is working well or not before I do. I guess its not just a talk thing she is also a mode of monitoring me. I don't think it would work if I did not connect on a level though with her. I have had some I didn't care for and was very happy when they left. sad to say but true
