I once told a therapist I thought I was addicted to pain and I don't understand why I would want to torture myself when it is absolutely excruciating to point I just want to die every day.
I copied this from your poem called "Lovers"
I dont know why I self destruct
Build an empire, and let it erupt
Let all the progress Ive made go to waste
But of this pain, they only get a taste
I lost the most beautiful home because of this sickness! It was my lifelong passion and now I feel I have nothing. Selfish of me I know!
I am sorry you have to go through that, but know that you are not alone.
I am glad the message of the poem got through so effectively and you were able to find something personal in it, giving you something to relate to.
It is not selfish of you, it is embedded in our heads for some strange reason beyond my comprehension.
