Hey lovely, years ago I took the regular seroquel and hated it. And I only went up to 200mg then stopped it as it gave me tachycardia. It made me nauseous and agitated too. And sorry for me they didn't go away
But that doesn't mean it won't for you but don't leave it for too long to see your doctor. Can you not get the XR? I find thatva whole different ballgame totally.

Actually on reflection these feelings might not solely be due to the seroquel dobes, you've just stopped medication too? And meds you've been on for a while? That could be a contributing factor. You need to see your doctor asap to discuss this

I've been taking maintenance dose of 200mg for maybe five years now. It was originally prescribed alongside geodon. I have gained weight on it so I tried getting off of it with my pdocs help and tried latuda and saphris to try and replace it. I have never ever ever been able to get off of the seroquel. So I'm just taking it endlessly and hope for the best.

I have been stable, but I feel like I would have a really really really REALLY tough time if I needed to stop it.

Hi Dobie...Unfortunately, my experience was just like yours. At only 50 mg, I was completely out of it, dizzy, nauseated, and at times, very agitated. My pdoc at the time told me that it "wasn't possible" that I would react to "such a small dose." Needless to say, he isn't my pdoc anymore. : ) I stopped Seroquel, and felt better after a couple of days. It wasn't the med for me, although I know it helps some people a lot. Me no likey. Not at all. It made me way too groggy and I gained a lot of weight. But the symptoms you are describing sound borderline dangerous especially for a beeper or anyone really. Can you put an emergency call to your pdoc? Does he/she have an after hours number?

Call your pdoc. I hated it and was on 400-500 mg and I really don't recall having the issues you are describing. I do not take it anymore but I know it did nothing for me at low doses. My personal feeling is one should not be suffering like you are and a discussion is in order. Big Hugs and hang in until you speak to him/her. xo

Dobie I took that after I was diagnosed but I was kinda zombie, lithium has worked and I don't feel doped up, but I hope it can help you

Dobie, I took the XR and at the time I REALLY needed it to survive. The side effects went away after about two weeks. I've never taken regular Seroquel so it could be completely different. Agree with everyone else - talk to your doctor as soon as you can. Keeping you in my thoughts.

My experience wasn't very good. My mood wasn't the issue it was my appetite. Gone. I could've starved. The effects on my mood were nothing amazing either bi hated that drug

Pdoc wants to see me on Thursday to see how it's going w/the Seroquel. I should be on 100mg by then, but I won't be because I'm not upping the dosage until I get used to the 50mg. The reason I'm on an antipsychotic is because my ADs were no longer working. I was having mood swings every day. So we tried Risperdol and had bad side effects. Now it's Seroquel...I want to give it a chance but it's going to be on my time, not his. I'm not upping it so I can feel even more sick. We'll see what happens. I pray I don't have to go through the entire list of anti-psychotics. There are a ton of them and I won't be a guinea pig. I don't know what the answer is.

I'm on 150 mg and it works well BUT I have put on weight... When I take it I feel like I'm starving so I hate that part and I'm kinda flat as well... So fat and flat but I still feel pretty good on it... Better then anxious, sad and bouncing I guess... I never had the symptoms you're describing sweetie.... If you are also weaning off a med I would discuss it with your pdoc... It may be that as Rubes wrote... Big hug for you Dobes....xo

I was sleepy all the time when on Seroquel, gained a lot of weight, and was shaky and just felt tired all the time. It's not a good med for me.

Ask for the XR dobes, its a much better med
