Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I hope you get a good resolution out of it. I would've run away from home before this!
Think of this....The cops come and you are screaming and cursing. And if you are like me there was probably some arm flapping and hair flying going on too. Of course, you looked crazy to them.
Same thing with your brother and dad. I'm not judging you at all - once I cursed my brother out all the way across 74 acres of land. He was walking away, I was right in behind him, and my dog was going with him. I went bonkers because he wouldn't stop and let me get my dog. Not one of my shining moments. One of my arms flapping and hair flying moments.
It's not that people don't care. They just don't want your problems to intefere with their lives. YOU do have to handle things on your own. Just a fact of life. Now that your mom is gone, NOBODY is going to step in and make things right for you. You are doing this to yourself. Getting yourself upset - probably over trivial things.
Finally, I want you to think about this.... considering the loss of your mom, does any of the bullshit really matter? Doesn't it all pale in comparison to the loss? It does for me. Nothing can hurt me now because I have felt the worst kind of loss. So, to hell with the rest of it.
Sometimes I wish I could work up a good "fit" but I just don't have it in me anymore.
Last thing. Right now, check your blood pressure if you have a guage. If you don't, check your pulse. Have a look at what your anger is doing to you physically.
I'm here, if you ever want to talk about your mom. I really hope things get better for you, but it has to start with you.
Big hug, sweetie.
I'm a so sorry, your going through ALL of this - but having been in the position, I want to tell you its not fair, its wrong, and you deserve better! Be glad you here, I'm grateful your alive!!!! The police can suck, and are screaming - justified, but worked against us..... HOLD ON!!! We're here for you!
On the other side of all that drama and pain, is life - a better one, this moment, day SUCKS!!! Please stay safe! From everyone, including yourself (((((BIG HUG)))))
Do what you need to do, to get where you want to go. Screw everyone else!!
We need to do in this life what we need to survive and move forward. If they don't like it, too damn bad!!
xox
Yea. Cops these days--police--just don't seem to be able to handle things in a dipomatic manner.
On another forum, I learned that some people have to get saavy and know their personal rights, habeus corpus and know the laws pretty well before making drastic moves--be your own lawyer. I haven't done this, but then again, I'm in the Bible Belt south and haven't gotten much bad police interaction--so....................
I wonder if you could move out of your bad situation??
I've also noticed patterns with police and the young get targeted a lot. Elsewhere, there was a girl who was treated poorly and placed in the hospital for crying at a train station--WHAT?!
Yes-Get with a friend or someone you trust and make a plan to get away from this bad situation. Make plans for a future retainer of a lawyer or get legal assistance from Legal Services.
I cannot stand cops, but I know that you have to be calm. It is soooooooooo difficult.
I was on my way to give blood SAturday and hubby had not paid or gotten the tag or whatever, and we got stopped. I always get scared and my breathing gets hard when a cop stops. The cop had us pulled over for 20 minutes. But, I had to remain calm. I hated it, but cops are cops and they have power. I guess we give them less power when we can be calm.
Learn the laws
plan to get out
retain legal counsel
be independent
know your rights.
