Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
In terms of me doing something---I have 3 boxes of toys that will be going to our church nursery or to Salvation Army. I plan on having another 3 or 4 by the time Monday is over. Cleaning out the girls bedrooms is a double blessing--keeps me from going nuts over their rooms and gives other kids new toys (or at least new to them) to play with.
We actively try to pay kindness forward through our local freecycle group.
=)
As far as myself paying it forward I always try to be a good person and give as much as I can. I cleaned out a 2nd bedroom/storage room last year and gave tons of stuff away. I offered my friends anything they wanted to take it and donated the rest to a children's hospital thrift store. When I see someone in line and they only have a few items I will tell them to go ahead of me.
Trying to think of someone paying it forward to me I would have to say my t-doc for not charging me for the last 10 months. The next one would be my plastic surgeon because after my breast reconstruction surgery he did failed he was so concerned that I didn't have a support team. He called ALL of my other doctors and talked to them personally and explained what had happened and what was going on so they would check on me. One of my nurses at my plastic surgeons ofc even dropped off supplies for dressing changes because she knew I didn't have any way to get them.
still it's nice to think about good things we do or have benefitted from instead of dangerous moods, medication fail, and crappy neighbours.
I do a lot of charity stuff on a personal level that I just usually don't talk about. I dunno...i feel weird telling people about the things like that.
