Kev, the important thing is to open up lines of communication with your partner. Tell her how you feel about the money situation and when she brings it up. It is a struggle and we have to remember that this puts huge pressure on them too. I am sure she is very worried about the money situation and doesnt quite know how to vent her feelings. Maybe if she knows it makes you feel bad, she will try to vent it differently.

This should be something that you can sit down and talk about and try to figure out how you can make ends meet. Most of the time, we tend to recluse from those issues because we feel there is nothing we can do about it. This in turn places the burden on our spouse. Talking about it may find solutions you did not know you had, while bringing you two closer for communicating rather than fighting or being hurt.

Kevin, If you haven't already applied for unemployment benifits, you might opt to check into that.
If possible can you get a personal loan from your parents and/or a realitive ? ( sorry about the spelling, my time released med has kicked in) anywho write out household mthy exspence and add for unexspected extrys.
Request a loan and include an agreement on the loan where the loan will be paid bk going on the 4th yr..
I can only share what Iv been though, hopeful it will be benifitual.
I would located a local state funded mental health center. the center offers a slideing scale fee. the fee is based on household income.
I would obtain an atty to handle SSDI case. within same day I would apply for SSDI.
Attys charge 25%- as in no out of pocket money, not even the retainer fee. you agree that atty will be paid from your SSDI bk pay.
You will receive bk pay from date that you applie for SSDI.Its common to be turn down for SSDI at least twice. each time your turn down. do appell it and you have maybe a wk in which to do so. Your atty can & will handle that for you.
It takes aprox 3 yrs befor being approved for social sercurity disability insurance (SSDI).
That being reason for loan.
What ever you do do not get a car title loan.
such places are actually owned by banks and thier legal loan sharks. no one in thier life time can pay off intress and compounded intress and late fee. ya thier know to hold payment 1 day past due date so they can collect late fee.
According to my atty: a person who has applied for SSDI can not work more than 2.5 mo's in a 12 mo period.
I recomend if your up to it to get a job as a bell ringer during holiday w Salvation Army. make sure that you get fired. simple call in on schedule work day and tell offc that your unable to come to work - yep that will get you fired.
However if total work time is less than 2.5 mo's - if so keep this job so that you can work it for next 3 yrs during holidays. am not sure but I think that they pay $7.00 or $8.00 per hr..Hey every bit helps.
You can also sign up for xmas presents for your children. The Salvation Army will bring toys and box of food. My Mother retired from Salvation Army in NC.
Every state and community has winter uility assistance program.
lets see what else.
The state funded mental health center can assist you in being able to get your med's. they will assist you in signing up for med program. the center will recieve your meds and you obtain meds from the center at no cost to you or next to nothing.There is a $10.00 application fee.
Also Walmart pharmacy and Kroger pharmacy has $4.00 per prescription program. Am not sure if they will fill90ty day supply for $4.00 if not said pharmacys also offer $10.00 per prescript. so you might opt to have your pdoc to write a 3 mo supply a the same time.
Lets see what else. Oh ya, the Salvation Army Office will provide a clothing voucher that consist of 10 items plus a pair of shoes per person.
I bought my tread mill and lap top from Salvation Army store and they also have clothing w store tags ion them.
check around for store that has better clothing. If theres an upper middle class neighbourhood close to Salvation Army store - the better the clother is.

Sorta sorry but most people are not edu about bp and/or they refuse to edu thier selves about it and how they need to handle it and how to provide assistance and how to care for thier own well being when assisting a partner who has bp.
We can snap out of it as much as our partners can instantly change thier gender - w/o surgery.
My med is causeing me to require a nap, so Ill wrap this up.
By the way am on 160mg of Geodon and 100mg of Lamictal which works for me.
I also take Hydroxyzine for anxiety as needed.
I wont take Hydroxyzine until my daily schedule granny nap time because it puts me to sleep for 15minutes up to max of 2 hrs.

I just want to wish you luck at your appt and I hope that she will go in there with an open mind. It took a while for my husband to read up and become more educated on the matter, once he did it made a huge difference.

Kev, this illness can eat at our self esteem and cause us to believe that we cant be anymore than we are in this moment. I struggled for years with my self esteem and feeling like I would never be able to work again. I found that once I did begin working again, it was the best thing for me. It encouraged me to be a better person, it motivated me to get up every morning and accomplish things that I never thought I would be able to.

Although this disorder can take its tole on us, we are worthy and we are capable of living an everyday life. We can contribute to our family and be productive.

Dont give up, dont give in.......keep searching for those things that bring you some joy and feeling of accomplishment. Dont give up trying to work together and make this work.

thing is also got tendon and nerve damage in right hand long story anyway hav only feeling in two fingers rest is numb im so talanted can turn my hand two any thing but since wrist lasuration in 2007 been working hard at pysio getting better use out of it now but when do heavy work its not up for it tendons real tight and is painful so kind of limited in what work can do no pain can trigger me into manic leart that from past experience and cus av no feeling sum tools can be hard to use but i aint giving in me no never 3kids two think of no way would i take the easy way out and effect my kids even right now i feel emty i will some how find happiness x
