Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
It's very tough to focus on mania...If I don't take medicine I get into HYPERmania. I've bipolar I you know.
But I still focus. Leave everything, all distractions and just focus on one thing. And just do it. Don't think too much about doing it, just do it.
Tell yourself, that you are strong, and you can control yourself.
I cannot stand the out of control feeling myself. I won't go into details but I went way further out of control today than I've ever done, at least to another person, and my husband bore the brunt of it. Any other man would have had my butt to the curb. But instead he comforted *me*. I am mystified.
I see that you suffer from an eating disorder so I do realize I cannot sit here and say "Don't worry about the eating". I do want to encourage you to concentrate on something else though, I do think maybe the eating will smooth itself out? I'm likely no help there. I think I'm just trying to say that the mania feeds the eating, which feeds the eating disorder. Ugly circle.
Get a saint bernard!! They are really cute puppies!!
This way you'll always have something to do. :)
I wanted to do the same, but I live with my parents and they don't like pets :(
Or you can get a cat too if you like cats.
But do, do your homework. Not doing it will harm you.
I've the same disorder you have. I don't like to study either, and when I'm not on medication my frustration just gets out.
My father is alcoholic you know. I've bad home life. :(
Also my mother has compulsive hoarding disorder.
Also my both the parents are handicapped.
So, life is too tough this side.
I can remember crying when I became a size 12. Now I'd love to be a size 12.
Try making a list of all the things you have ever wanted to do. Then start working down the list.
My husband and I did something like this for fun. It was really fun to see it in black and white the things we wanted to do someday.
I'm the one that suggested airplane lessons. There is a small airport about five miles from our house. They give lessons there. Now that I am not working, I'd love to try it and face some major fears but I can't afford it since I'm not working. Pooh!
Now no girl will like me with such a big tummy!! :(
I am trying really hard to resist the eating. Gaining weight is probably my biggest fear. My anorexia has been in remission for 4 years but a little bit of the voice is still inside my head.
I am going to try to think of things to do outside of my apartment tomorrow. Making a list is a good idea.
Thanks for all of your help. Hopefully I can survive the night.
