Okay I have been working at the same place for 6 1/2 years. I do on a normal day enjoy my job and it really isn't all that bad. The other people I work face to face with have all been here 5+ years as well.
The last couple of weeks it seems that I have been having to constantly remind people what they are suppose to be doing. Not because I am the boss or that I even care if they are doing their job or not, but because of good patient care and good customer service. I keep on top of everything going and coming not only in this location but in another location as well.
So today is the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak and I had to vent and I chose to vent to my boss. My boss and I are rather close and she uses me to be her eyes and ears when she isn't here. I don't run and tell my boss every little thing I hear or every little thing that happens. But she knows if something is WAY off and it is illegal or fraudulent I will pick up on it and will report it. Anyway...I told her today that I had to remind the RT to call the driver THREE times to see if he could do HER job for her. Not because I cared who did it, but I knew the patient and the doctor depended on it. It wasn't like she was busy with other patients or anything else..she was surfing the internet.
Then I called my on-call driver to do a delivery which he didn't want to do and was bitching about it saying he couldn't do it and it was hard to do that by himself. Now keep in mind in his job description he is suppose to be able to pick up 80-100 pounds and this weighs no where near that, it is just awkward and yes it is hard to handle at times. However it has to be done tonight for someone coming out of the hospital.
So I got mad and I called my boss and laid it all out, which of course she is pissed about it...So am I bad person for "tattling" on my co-workers to our boss? I have just had enough of it. I am already stretched so thin at work anyway..I don't need the additional stress of doing everybody else job as well....
So am I>?
