Well I have been working on not using drugs for a while and I'm not getting that far on my own. I have been going to AA meetings but it hasn't really helped. I think I need to go to rehab to get over this and get clean but I don't know how to do that as I have a full time job.
I can take perhaps two weeks of vacation but I think rehab will take longer than two weeks. There may be a possiblity of a medical leave, I'm not sure. Anyone know how long rehab takes? Usually I figured a month.
The problem with coke is once you start doing it you are stuck in a cylcle of using it until your out cause the high feeling only lasts a little while then you move into nervous anxious paranoia and have to do more to get the high again. Then eventually your just wired. That's where I end up wired and hypomanic.. I need help because with out the drugs I'm depressed and can't function so I can't get off of them.

They are at least a month and this would definitely be under medical leave.. addiction is an illness not a character flaw.. Im glad you are thinking so hard about this Micheal.. it's very painful and difficult.. I wish you all that is good...Bless you...x

i have noticed that you always refer to your job and not being able to take time off when you talk about your addiction. well, if you have health insurance it has to cover treatment for detox. also if you have been with your employer for more than a year, you are entitled to 12 weeks of unpaid leave, fmla. there can't be any repercussions for using this health provision or the fmla, at least not legally. check it out before you talk yourself into anything.

Woke up feeling very emotional and about to clock in at my place of employment. And can't place it all in writing but not been a good experience with my store manager or his boss. Defamation of my character is a concern. I've been losing appetite and weight. Trying to perform at work to keep myself from hospitalization as a result of toxic masculinity.
