Even if you can drown out the sound, you still FEEL the beat.
It's not so much a societal dislike.
It makes me physically ill.
I went through a long, very hypermanic period where *I* was the one blasting it. Both in the car and when home.
And at work, where I was allowed to play music.
But they were always telling me to turn it down.
I pity those who were around me.
If it's someone else's loud music, it drives me up a wall.
And good lord yes..those cars that sit next to at a light, and their Base is up so loud your ears hurt , your car windows vibrate...awwwwck !
anywhere I went. Since being on meds I can't stand loud music.
It's really a drastic change for me.
When I lived in the country where I could step out on my front porch and yell without anyone hearing, it was a little different but in town...headphones only.
