I am notifying you that I have decided to terminate your power of attorney which gave you sponsorship of my children at Milton Hershey School. When you came to me I believed that I would still have sponsorship. I was unaware that it was giving you full sponsorship. That was never my intention. At the time I felt you were doing this to help me and for your own convenience. Now I realize you had other motives for doing so.
The reasons I have decided to take this action are as follows:
1. It is no longer needed.
2. It was a mistake on my part as I had signed it with false beliefs.
3. Out of concern for my children's future. My ideals and your ideals do not agree. I have other plans for my children's future. I also want them to be successful however they will arrive there under my guidance and care.
4. I have come to realize my love for them as a parent can not be replaced by any one else s. I have never abandon them that was a misconception. I will never abandon them in the future regardless of any success or failure.
5. As the parent I am the correct person for the job.
6. I need to receive all the paper work, phone calls, and future information so that I can make informed decisions regarding their future.
I have made this decision after thinking carefully about the emotional needs of my children. This was not done out of malice or any discrepancies I have or had with you at any time. I did this with the knowledge that this is the right thing to do for my children and this has nothing to do with you.
I do not wish for your relationship with them to end I only wish for my relationship as a parent to be maintained. I do not have any ill feelings toward you at this time. I appreciate all of your involvement with my children and any future involvement is completely voluntary.
In the future if ANY stipulations for your help are to be made then that stipulation needs to be made known immediately before any help is offered. I invoke the right to turn down any offer I do not agree to at my digression.
I also wish to make it know at this time that I have made plans for the future in the event that I would for some reason become unable to make decisions for my children's well being (death, illness....). At this time my mother will be the one who will be entrusted to make decisions in my absents.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...

Is this something you are going to get notarized and review with a lawyer? I remember you talking about your uncle before and it seems like you would need a lawyer to have the power of attorney revoked.

any how I do need a lawyer but I have yet to find one at my price range. :(
but yes maybe something shorter and more discrete will be better.
I would recommend cutting it to a fraction of this length. Two paragraphs, maybe 3 if one is a brief salutation and/or summary. It is a legal notification, not a family appology, justification or plans for the future. A parent shouldn't be asking for permission to be a parent. Perhaps soften the legal bluntness with a wish for his relationship with the children to continue, but the rest isn't really any of his business and it might be wise to have him acknowledge that before you confide in him any further.
so I think I will probably go with the first paragraph and maybe cut out the part about why I signed it. and add something along the lines of he may continue a relationship with the children
