how irresponsible & insensitive: have five generations in my family of bp1 and schizoaffective disorder> My own history: several episodes of extreme manic psychosis. many involuntary long-term hospitalisations for many (like, 9 months inpatient), crazed psychotic mixed states where I have made a few extremely serious attempts on life: i.e./ swimming out into ocean on deserted beach at 4 am in the nightin mid winter & swimming to horizon whilst ingesting overdose: the impossible happened - when passed out a wave threw me on to rocks: found in the morning- broken bones all over, almost died from hypothermia..

another time (after first manic episode I survived another impossible to survive attempt- won't bore you with details)

I fight my illness so hard. There is always someone in my family involuntarily ink a psych ward with mania/ psychosis: fact.

& my suggestion to you re- CP Pap machine is entirely valid. Have you tried alternative? healthful diet? That's reasonable advice- & you wouldn't be putting your life at risk by going on a diet- as opposed to the risk incurred if some of us weaned off medication:

dissing meds that some of us actually need to function and live, is not- when the alternative promoted by you does not suffice for so many of us (including me).

Think about it.

oh & a bunch of suicides in the family tree too. It is an illness. & medication if it's giving you a chance of a better life is not a punishment- I'm grateful. \

Just a note on sleep apnea. It is caused by two different reasons, one is the collapsing of the soft palate at the back of the throat. My husband has a small mouth and arch and he has had this for 20 years. I believe he is about 10 lbs overweight. The woman where I was tested told me it is also associated with aging, as muscle tone in the body and tissue is lost. But hard to do a face lift on the throat.

The good news is playing a wind instrument like flute, might keep me from needing a CPAP.

I am always up for a good debate, but I also know that there is no sense in debating with some stuck in their own stupidity. I am not someone who uses the word stupidity lightly, but ignorance is defined as a lack of knowledge and stupidity is defined by the unwillingness to learn in the face of knowledge.

What you have shown here and on countless other threads is a severe case of stupidity. So way not just move along little troll, no one cares!!!!!
