Great Wiccan! I have had mine for about two weeks now and just the past couple of nights I've been able to keep it on the whole night. It's discouraging at first because I have claustrophobia. Just keep at it and you will eventually get comfortable with it.

It DEFINITELY HELPS!!!!!!!!! I have more energy since I've got mine and my depression isn't as deep as it usually goes into.

I've been told they take a little time to get used to but once you do them make a vast difference in your quality of sleep therefore your quality of life..xo

I just had my test, and if it comes back positive, it will be full face mask for me, too. Praying it was just some snoring, not sleep apnea.

For the first two years, my daughter and I had to strap a fighting, sleeping man down to put it on his face every night. Then one morning he woke up, and realized he didn't have a headache, and he has been doing it every night for about 6 years now on his own.

Congestive heart failure from sleep apnea sounds a lot worse than a little anxiety. I have terrible sleep issues, and terrified of wearing a mask too! But after watching my father die of congestive heart failure, likely from sleep apnea, I think this is one time I will somehow have to bite the bullet if it comes down to a mask.

I can't even wear my dental night-guard, it bothers me so much. Good luck and don't give up. This is a good thing, even though it is a challenge.

i am a manager of a CPAP machine for my boss.... a good friend is a specialized teacher for doctors who are learning about CPAPs...

he got us an alternate face mask ... it is really the only way to go... its a strap for the head that comes around to the nose ...it has little rubber nostril holes ... three sizes ... no big scuba diving gear... it fits great and should be available to you at no extra cost... ill look up my friend and see if it is available ...
but please ask about it... it is the latest model i think... and i believe they hand out the kind you have cause they are cheaper and out dated

Thanks Caz, but unfortunately I can't wear just the nostril mask. I breath through my mouth when I sleep, so I need the full face mask kind to cover both my nose and mouth.

well, i was thinking pap smear....women have to have done every year, then the letter c in front of it....well, you don't want to know what I was thinking other than it was a device to please yourself.

uh, hum.....ya...... my boyfriend is currently in bed sleeping at 2:15 bcuz he works 3rd shift at Ohare. he sleeps from 8-3 or 4 and he is looking mighty good to me right now and I just want to do the dirty to him right now, so..... thats why I'm in dirty mode...

Jacob had a c pap and just couldn't get used to it. To be honest, he didn't really every try. So Medicare took it away.

I was told about that to Rachyl,

The woman at the medical supply company told me that I had to bring in my data card with in 90 days and unless there was at least 30 days of continuous use of at least 4 hours a night Medicare will not pay for the machine.

Good news! I only have mild sleep apnea, and do not need a machine.

My husband would have lost his with those kind of terms. Lucky his work insurance paid for it!

I also breathe through my mouth when I sleep but my doctor allowed me to have a nasal type mask as I can not tolerate a full face mask at all nor could I find one that fit worth a damn. I have to wear a chin strap. I wear specifically the Ruby Red Chinstrap you would have to be properly measured for it as well. The regular chin straps they give are shite. You don't need a script for the chin strap last I knew of and they sell them on various web sites including amazon. They come in several different sizes also. Perhaps it is something you would choose to do a little more research on just a thought... Good luck to you. You might try laying down during the day for about 15 minutes at a time to try and get used to it.
