Bipolar Disorder Support Group

This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Just know that you are going to have to work on this, it will not be automatic. It sounds like you have a combination of depression and anxiety. I know that feeling well. You may find that taking care of things makes your anxiety go down. You can talk yourself through it, say things like "I"m doing good, I'm taking care of myself " etc etc.
Good luck to you.
But I'm with you on the motivation thing. It's like my meds are working...I don't "feel"depressed, but still have the symptoms.
Only you know if the hospital would be beneficial. But you are not alone in the way you are thinking.
I'm leaning towards going but I wont be able to do that tonight as I have a limited amount of money and the buses have stopped running for the night. But I wanted some opinions first before I finally decide to go. I really probably need encouragement to do this and go through with it, because I lack motivation. But encouragement does help.
Hey I'm not disillusioned I know hospitals are not fun places, but I feel that it is a more drastic approach to a drastic situation. I've been like this for a year now how long do I have to wait before I go to a hospital? Plus the food and heat is starting to look pretty good right now.
you are then making it clear that you are scared and need help. this way you can speak to a professional about your situation, and decide what you want to do after getting advice. You want to make this decision wisely, after all, and it will help to speak to someone.
Don't worry too much about people making judgments, if this is what you need, then this is what you sould do.
You health must come first, because if you are not healthy you cannot help yourself and be there in full for your loved ones.
I wish you the best and hope you let us know how this pans out.
If you do nothing, nothing will change.
Print out your descriptions of how you are feeling and what symptoms you have and talk to your doctor.
Sounds like you need both a med change and some guidance to get out of the rut you are in and tackle those problems that are piling up and regain control of your life.
I have been there, let bills pile up with envelopes unopened, refusing to go out unless I really had to. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and DO it.
Can you write a list of things that need doing, then put them in order of priority with the most urgent and important first, then do number 1? Sometimes that helps me.
