Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I'm sorry things are going the way you wish they were. What sort of things make you feel better? Music, warm bath, walking? Anything you can do to be good to yourself. Home is inside us wherever we are. Keep in touch with what's inside you.
I gather you are one of the parents can you sit everyone down and explain what you feel you want to have happen a little bit? (Just so it isnt a complete wash for you).
I am very sorry you are feeling down. DS is here for you.

Thanks for all your kind words.
Could you try to find an activity you can perhaps enjoy and perhaps find a distraction from the vacation for a while?
Who are the family members with you? Are they your parents and siblings, or partner and children? Whoever it is, I hope you are able to speak to them and explain what you are going through. If the vacation can be skipped, then maybe all of you can return home and you can recover. But if it can't be skipped, try to ask for exceptions, like whether you can lie in bed whenever you don't feel too well?
Don't beat yourself about it. Always remember, it's a medical condition, it may be difficult for you to control sometimes.
I hope and know that you will be able to go through this difficult time and recover from this stronger than ever.
