Its next up for me, if my meds quit working - I'd rather have hope, and some memory loss then years of pain, followed my suicide and hurting my chances, and my poor dogs - oh, fuck family too! LOL

Honestly, I don't understand why people are so afraid of losing memories when the horror of the present and the future stretching out like that in severe depression is always there and looming.
I can see though if they are worried about losing memory around things they must need to know for their careers. That would be a major concern.
I did have them many years ago as a unipolar and I did have some memory loss but I wasn't working at the time and nothing I lost caused me any long-term problems and it all sort of came back over the years for the most part.
Thank you for your response! I too had bilateral when I was around 20 about 26 years ago. My memory was affected greatly but it all came back - at least the important stuff a few weeks after it was over with. I even still have specific memories of getting a few treatments, being driven home, and during that time and shortly after, etc.
