I don't have experience with those meds but is it possible to make an appointment with your pdoc or prescribing doctor to talk about it? Sometimes I have trouble remembering what I want to tell the doc when I'm in the office so I write it down beforehand. I'm sorry you are hurting. ((((hugs)))) to you.

alot of people with bipolar can't take anti-depressants.

If you are unhappy with your med cocktail have a chat with your pdoc, say why you are unhappy and ask them to explain why they have you on what they do.

A lot of people with bipolar can't take AD's.... It says you're struggling with anxiety already and an AD may possibly send you over the top... I agree though to discuss it with your pdoc

Changing meds is always scary, because you never know what they will do to you side effect wise, but sometimes it is necessary to tweak the dose to find yourself in your optimal state.

If you are cutting yourself something is still wrong

To reiterate, a lot of bipolar people can't take anti-depressants because they either make them manic or make them suicidal, but if you're not on one right now and are depressed enough to be cutting yourself it might be worth a try.

Prozac and before that Wellbutrin have changed my life. I have Schizoaffective Disorder and I have been without a depressive episode since they put me back on the Prozac.

If you feel like you need it, it's a good thing to talk about with your doctor. No one should have to suffer depression alone. There are pills for that.
