Okay So Why the Hate?

Granted I am new to this group and not really bi-polar. I suffer from borderline personality disorder which is very similar. I have been reading the post on here and some of the people seem to have nothing but negative things to say when someone post. I thought we were here to support one another. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with someone. I disagree all the time.
But some people just go into outright attack mode. So to those people I ask...
So why the hate?
Aren't we all adults here? Don't we all have enough self control to think about our response long enough and carefully enough to word them in such away as not to cause pain to others?

I don't think borderline and bipolar are similar at all.... except maybe phonetically.
One is Axis 1 and one is Axis 2.

Hate and love balance each other out. IMHO its actually needed in this world... futhermore, it is better to type a bunch of mean bullshit than to go kick grandmas etc.

Bipolar people can be negative and nasty, it has to do with feeling really badly. Feeling depressed is a symptom of nearly 100% of beepers.

A better question would be: Do we need five posts every day like this one?

A good point Pogo.........there is no way to truely answer that. We all see words in a different perspective. What I may see as a critical and judgemental comment might just be the nature of that person's personality or the mood they are in at the time. With this disorder, we are not always aware of how we are "comming across" to others.

Also, some may react to what they believe is personally insulting. I dont think it is at all "hate" but interpretation of a mood or sequence of words and how they affect us at that moment.

I havent seen any hate here lately, but maybe I am not reading all that you are........

I think we all have to keep in mind that some of us might be triggered by another's personality and just dont know enough to stay away.....
