Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
But even my non-beeper sister says this happens to her sometimes so guess it's not just a beeper thing.
Depersonalization can be caused by stress or severe trauma in our lives and causes us to feel detached from our mental processes or body. Like going through the motions but not experiencing it, feeling as though we are in a movie or dream.
Occasional moments of mild depersonalization are normal; strong, severe, persistent, or recurrent feelings are not. It can also be caused by some psychotropic meds. I would definately talk to your pdoc about it asap. I know it is very scarey but you can manage it.
Hang in there sweetie, the best thing you can do in explore the causes and find ways to manage it or overcome it. Do you have a therapist you are working with?
