Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Fortunately my OCD doesn't extend to housecleaning or I couldn't stand it.
My bills get done on a certain day, my laundry gets done on a certain day each week.
I keep the kitchen tidy . I CAN NOT cook in a messy kitchen !
So since I do all the cooking, kitchen is clean.
My biggest problem, or stressor, is that I live with my sister , and God love her she has helped with so many things....but OMG...she is a slob.. a sloth...a hoarder of sorts
Her messes really trigger me .
I was a fringe straightener, hand washing counting everything in 3 's and yes, everything has a spot!! Repetitive thoughts etc....
Bipolar made some worse and other's better.
I just ignore certain things now but I will admit that the OCD was so bad that I didn't enlist the kids in "helping" dust , dishes etc because it has to be done a certain way. We were just talking about this at work.
It is my biggest faux pas as a parent that I didn't assign chores etc but at the end of the day I didn't want to be freaking out on them and they are good kids so I didn't damage them too badly!! lol
I have to learn how to let go of the things not in my control. I haven't figured it out quite yet and at 46 it is highly unlikely I ever will.
Sorry I have no great answer for ya.
