I think I've read every posting and some more than once. I could be obsessing elsewhere this evening but I choose to do it here .

I don't think obsessing in itself is a problem. I know obsessing keeps my household safe with checking that doors are locked and stove burners are off. Of course there are levels of obsession that are unhealthy and we can get help with that.

I guess obsessing isn't a good word...because I am really good at obsessing over my house, clothes, dishes, & my ex (most recent), just to name a few. I think using DS as a distraction best discribes what I'm doing...TODAY!!

Distractions are good.

My son is big-time into shoes right now. Nikes and Reeboks, but especially Nikes.

So much so that he has developed his own line, logo, etc. and wants to design and maufacture when he is older.

I've noticed when he hits a rough patch, he starts thinking about that stuff. He's using distraction as a coping skill, and at his age (13) there could be a lot of other crap he could be into, so I'm all for the shoe thing. LOL.
