I'm not familiar with any these days. I'd do a googly search then pick one that matches your goals.

I will look and see what I have I do not go to church anymore and do all my own bible studies at home. I found a good online and Christian book store near me and just go through the material and pick a study I feel I need to read. I have a lot of books and studies. I will get back to you need to did up links and stuff. Do you follow any certain belief? It doesn't matter to me just will hep me find stuff for you or If your like me I follow Christ and the word of God and go from there. Feel free to IM me or send me a message. I have a lot of things.

You might consider a newsgroup, though you'll need to watch out for religious bigots who mindlessly quote scripture without understanding it. You can often avoid this by finding a moderated group, though that's not always ideal, either.

If you are using Windows, I highly recommend a software program called "e-sword". You can get it at e-sword.net. It's free. This is the most complete Bible program I've ever seen. It allows you to search the English, Hebrew, and Greek words; has the Strong's numbers; and has various modules you can add (most of which are also free) such as various commentaries on the texts, maps of the Holy Lands, and so on. This tool will help you with whatever else you're doing with the Bible. I cannot recommend it too highly - it's the best I've ever seen.

I agree with Chrion613 many out there will interpret scripture in their words or to accommodate themselves and their lives have to be very careful. I will see what i can find.

When I went to ministry school the program was thru CMN Commission Ministry Network, try to google them, they are a great school, also look around your area im sure they have courses which is alot easier than online classes,With them you can actually interact and ask questions and have them explained to you to which you can understand, Good luck! -Annie

Hey Chelle you might want to consider one of Beth Moore's studies, you can find all of her stuff on amazon or lifeway....it may be a workbook and a book or just a workbook but anyway you look at it it will help you grow spiritually and be scripturally based.

I have been wanting to try Beth Moore Patriarch's study. its a cool video and workbook one filmed in Israel & other near East places..but it is a bit expensive.

I wanna get the Fruits of the Spirit by Beth Moore and the 90 days with Jesus. There are a couple of more that I can't remember the name of right now. I guess maybe when I get my check once a month, I will just order one at a time. Mary........maybe you could get someone to go in together with you to get that set.

Zany, I was thinking about that. Maybe split it with a small group for a Bible study. The fruits of the Spirit would be good too.

It's not necessarily a bible study per se but has a lot of resources and commentaries on the whole Bible by writers such as Matthew Henry, John Calvin, Wesley, St Augustine, writings of the early Church Fathers and many more to help in studies and has discussion forums and the Christian Classics Ethereal Library.

When I was searching for on-line Bible courses, my pastor recommended our Canadian on-line CSBS. I have been taking one or two courses a semester, for 4 years, and have grown enormously in knowledge, and I hope, wisdom. We have several Americans that take courses, too, although it is geared for ministry work. I have 4or 5 years to go, to complete my master's. It involves lots of writing, research and journalling. I also found a good on-line program called Spring Arbor, which was for a Master's degree writing for Christian publications. You needed to pass some sort of test, though, which required me to brush up on math, which I hadn't taken in 30 years, so I decided to go with the longer M.Div. program. I agree the best thing is for you to google what you are looking for. I would be more afraid of scams than dogmatism, although that isn't nice either. I was looking at taking Hebrew on-line, and emailed a place in Israel. A few hours later I got a phone call, begging me to take their course. I turned down that expensive offer, although maybe it would have been good.

Good luck, and feel free to contact me if you want any biased opinions on courses. I prefer to take through an established seminary, but you may be able to find more low key courses that are what you are looking for.
