This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I get headaches a lot myself, I'm sure from Lamictal
oh, got it - percocet!
I also take Bendryl to sleep, fish oil and a multi-vitamin.
I hope to get off all my pills in the future because I'm having a lot of problems with my hands and feet due to the Lithium or Loxitane.
Geodon
Abilify
Buspar
Vistaril
BuSpar
Xanax .
So at night it's 3 of the Depakote, 1 BuSpar and 2 Xanax
My pharmacist said he'd help me find another doctor if things go bad. I think my GP is doing this because of my recent bipolar Dx and I've refused the pdoc's Rx for lithium and some other things I am allowed to take as my choices are limited because of other meds I take for other physical conditions.
So yeah...with my supplements and prescriptions I wolf down about 20 pills in the morning with my coffee...well most mornings...not very compliant...but my numbers are good to midlin'.
Less is more for me as I was born with just one kidney...something I need to keep reminding my GP about every time he suggests something new. He's been my doctor for 20 years now and I don't see why he needs to fix something that isn't broken.
Yes I get that, in general, there has been a huge spike in abuse of prescription drugs and narcotics...goes along with the spike in Rxing them too...but he knows I'm not abusing so why bust me? I don't even need a sleep aid...ever. lol or a laxative.
Sure hope I don't find the need to change doctors...this one is a good one...well he has been but these new guidelines have him worried I guess. He doesn't want to be seen as over prescribing and I understand that...but I thought he understood I need to walk to save my legs and if I can't walk because of the pain...ahhh screw it...viscous circle...g'head...cut my legs off 'n give me a shiny new scoot...will be flying the Jolly Roger 'n not no maple leaf...that's fer sure. ~smiles fer miles~
Hardly anything at all, right now!!!
Lamictal, Alprazolam, and Seroquel.
And only once a day, for each one!!!!
There was a time when I was taking 27 pills a day, but I can't remember what all that consisted of.
Mind you, I'm not happy with how this current combo is working, so who knows what the near future may hold!!!?
zyprexa
xanax
effexor
remeron
adderal
propanolol
metformin
insulin
lipitor
spiralactone
asprin
The first six are my pych meds. the rest are for diabetes, high cholesterol and a rapid heart rate. I actually have a little tote bag I keep them all in and a weekly med dispenser I fill up every sunday night. If I didn't I could never keep up with when to take what. I get so tired of swallowing so many pills, but remain grateful that I have them to keep me healthy and somewhat sane. I'm like a walking pharmacy!! :)
I also take ativan as needed.
I've been pretty stable for about 6 years on this combo. Hoping the relative stable lasts because I HATE med changes!!
For HIV, technically 3 meds, but one is a combo of 2 meds, so 2 "meds". 2 tablets in the morning (one is the combo), 1 at night.
So total, its 3 tablets morning, 3 tablets night for everything.
I am fine with the amount atm. The meds are avg to small in size. Not like some of the horse pills I was taking and a bunch of them. I think I was up to a total of over 20 tablets once.
