Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Hi all, I have been in a very deep depression for a while now. Hopeless, worthless, sadness, frustration, self harm, etc. Anyway, I started some new meds, started an IOP, continue with one on one therapy, dropped work hours to only 3 days a week and still go to a support group for bipolar. Looks like this is what I needed because I feel better.big surprise with all that. Oh yes, forgot one thing.I met a woman and things are going very well. With my banged up self esteem this makes me feel better too. So, I can't tell whats working. The new meds feel like they are helping a bit but only just a little, maybe need a higher dose I don't know. Therapy (group and individual) always help me along with the support groups I belong to. Naturally meeting this girl makes me happy. I was starting to feel a little better before meeting her. So whats working and whats not? How do I figure that out. Combination of all? Just my time to break free of this depression? Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks for reading.

Hey All...I hope that you have a lovely, peaceful beginning of your weekI have a bunch of chores that need doing but may put them off til tomorrow and just hang out with my landlord/roomie todayWhat about you?...Anything special going on?Have a great day and take good care of you!!..Xo

Change. And that may be a good thing to pursue, or Not so good, so I have to be careful....but it's doing something Different that is Most likely to kick me out of a long-lasting depressive cycle.
You changed your work schedule. You got a girl. You involved yourself in group therapy.
Of Course you feel better! And that will bring your body and your mind a much needed Hiatus from all the negative stuff!
Watch yourself closely in the future....change does not have to be so Dramatic to help us, and I say that because it seems to be a cycle. We change - do things differently - and we feel Better, until we cycle back down again.
Uh, so what I Mean is, if you find yourself down again in the next 6-12 months, maybe you could plan Ahead and not have to change jobs and girls and groups. lol Maybe you could just dye your hair green and take a short vacation to the Caymans. Or something.
What has happened is Good! And we're Rooting for you :)
Good for you... I wouldn't get to lost trying to figure out the chicken and egg stuff
You're coming along well, working hard to make positive changes and your life is embracing them
Go You!!!....xo
and there is no support groups in my town. I've even thought about seeing if I can get one started. Maybe find a therapist to run it til we can get it off the ground.
