Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

One other idea is that I take half a tablet of Trazedone with my nightly meds - and that is supposed to help with sleep. I don't have sleep issues - so I guess it's helpful... I also try and sleep the same schedule every night when that's possible -so it makes falling to sleep a habit and not a big adjustment. Just thoughts.
Have a good Doc visit. Peace and best, Mark
These meds just don't work that quick, and your starting new ones, while stopping current ones....unfortunately its going to take time for your body to get detoxed and leveled out.
Even if your not sleeping, try to lay down and rest. If you feel too antsy to lie in bed, do things like take a hot bath to relax, spray lavender essence on your bed sheets and pillow, have a hot chamomile tea before bed, keep your bedroom very cool at night, put on relaxing meditative or classical music at night softly. Do what you can to help your body/brain rest and hopefully as the chemicals balance out you'll move from resting to sleeping.
