Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

It seems that I'm not the only one who struggles with night time panic and just pretty much losing it in the evening. I'm new to this diagnoses and this support group so I was wondering some ways that others get through those times that make nights so hard.

I usually take a nice tea, and my colnazipam when I get anxiety at night. It sucks when I can't sleep..
I personally try to maintain my anxiety without meds as much as possible but I know that when it gets really bad sometimes that's the only thing that helps. Hugs
I need zero caffeine for several hours before bed. Personally, I try to avoid foods (or at least Much food) for several hours before, as well. No wild movies or activities for same time, etc - just trying to be Relaxed beforehand, you know?
The meditations I also agree with, but if people don't 'meditate' then the idea of relaxing with baths, peaceful music, comforting reads or just comforting Thoughts before bed all help.
When we get into a Pattern of the attacks at bedtime it can be necessary to 'ramp up' the relaxation and create a fear-free atmosphere for awhile, until the cycle Stops, see?
Then adjust our nightly activities to protect ourselves from repeating cycles as much as possible. (i.e., fight with the spouse and kids in the Morning not at night. haha. urgh)

Other wise I use prayer, meditations and thought focusing .
Sometimes I just have to roll with it
