Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Hi I am new here. I am 20 years old, in college pursuing stem, holding 2 jobs and I experience bipolar disorder. I am looking for books about people with depression or bipolar disorder. Memoirs, biographies, that kind of stuff. I want to know people with mental illness can survive, and even flourish. I am currently unmedicated and without a therapist but am doing surprisingly well. Still struggling with depression and ideation. How old are you and have you ever felt stable about your life, goals, or aspirations?

I'm feeling down,, and got alot on my mind right now. I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed. So many bad things have happened since my mom passed. One thing after another it seems. Yesterday our fence fell from a storm that hit, had to call someone to prop it up. Thank...
I've been pretty stable for a long time..... Most of my problems now are created from something that's situational and may lead to a 'swing' and for me it's most often depression
However for the most part for several years I've been stable.... Big hug.....x
I also hold a senior position with a very well known company, am married, and live a very boring life (boring to those on the outside- I love the simplicity). I face the "normal" struggles paired with the mental illnesses of both me and my spouse. Not for the faint of heart, but we make it happen and share joy in the mundane, little things.
You are 100% correct about the stigmatization. And that is something I grapple with.
My advice would be to find what works for you! I wish you the best!
